l/23 TOWN BOARD SELECTS LIBRARY BOARD PICK FOR LIBRARY EXPANSION ARCHITECT---Last fall the members of the Library Board devoted many hours interviewing potential architects for the library expansion project. They provided the Town Board with their first choice and the names of two additional firms. The Town Board voted to select Beatty, Harvey and Associates Library Planners and Architects of NY as the architectural firm for the Library Design project.This was the first choice of the Library Board. This firm designed the beautiful library in Suffern, NY. NEXT STEPS: The Library Board will be scheduling a number of public outreach meetings before the architect puts design plans on paper. I have asked the Town Comptroller to provide the Town Board with an analysis of the fiscal impact to the town and taxpayers using different budgetary allocations. No budget for the project has been approved as of yet. The Comptrollers analysis will be released to the public once complete.
