emergency prep seminar...children's garden
Release Date: September 19, 2007

Our new Children’s Garden at Hart’s Brook Preserve is being put to good use. The focus: havesting and eating vegetables that were planted in the raised beds in August. In the coming weeks the Bailey school is partnering and bringing each of their 6 4th grade classes to Hart’s Brook for one of the sessions. Two master gardeners are educators and have developed comprehensive lesson plans and a teacher resource book.

The Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension invite children and their families to the newly created children’s garden. Three Saturday programs are being held. Each session will include hands on activities in the garden for children and parents or other accompanying adult.
