ROAD TO FREEDOM WALK AUGUST 19...ZONING AND PLANNING BD VACANCIES

You are invited…to meet and march with George Washington on his horse. The Dobbs Ferry Historical Society, the Villageof Dobbs Ferryand the Patrot’s Park Committee are sponsoring a road to freedom walk through Dobbs Ferry on Sunday, August 19th. The walk begins at 1 PMat the corner of Southfield Aveand Ashford Ave(near Scaramella’s Restaurant). Follow George Washington and his horse in route of the Continental Army Soldiers on August 19, 1781and trace the first steps of Washington’s march of more than 400 miles to Yorktown, Virginia. Washington’s march from Dobbs Ferry to Virginialed to victory two months later at Yorktownand to the end of the Revolutionary War. After the walk join us for commemorative activities, historical skits and refreshments at the Mead House, 12 Elm Street.

Dobbs Ferry is the gateway to the HistoricHudsonValley. Bring your entire family to this exciting event. Rain date: August 26th

PROCRASTINATION ALERT: There has been a vacancy on the Zoning Board since October, 2006. There has been a vacancy on the Planning Board since January, 2007. I am urging the Town Board to appoint a member to both Boards by the end of August.

HERE TODAY…GONE TOMORROW   The old Town Hall is almost all down, the demolition is almost complete. The entire site will be used by the library. Estimated construction completion date: June, 2008.
