TOO MUCH LITTER, GARBAGE ALONG NYS ROADS
Release Date: April 16, 2007

I am reaching out to NYS officials and have requested that they clean up the debri along NYS roads (Dobbs Ferry Road, Saw Mill River Road, access road to Sprain Pkway, etc..). Today, I drove on Dobbs Ferry Roadand on Saw Mill River Roadto attend the Elmsford Little League opening day ceremonies. I was very upset at the garbage, debri, bottles along the roads, which are not town roads –they are NYS roads. It is the responsibility of NYS (according to the Commissioner of Public Works) to clean these roads. I will be giving this serious attention this coming week. The town has assigned our own public works crews to remove garbage along town roads. If there are sections of town that need additional attention – please advise. This is a major quality of life concern that residents have. We need to keep Greenburgh green and clean.
