I enthusiastically support the proposed ethics reforms being considered by the Greenburgh Town Board. In addition to swift action on these initiatives I believe that further discussion of other ethical reforms is worthwhile.

Some areas we should consider are the potential conflicts of interests in awarding contracts without competitive bidding and the potential pressures on town management to lend support to candidates for town office.

I welcome your suggestions and recommendations. I strongly believe in the importance of maintaining the highest ethical standards for public officials and I want to make sure that Greenburgh is a model for other localities.
