The Greenburgh Town Board will vote on a resolution to save the Community Hospital at Dobbs Ferry this Monday night, December 4th at 7:15 PM. This hospital, which is over a 100 years, is a short term non profit health care facility of 50 beds where the average length of stay is seven days or less. It provides general acute in patient, out patient and emergency medical and surgical care to patients. The hospital serves residents of the villages of Greenburgh and unincorporated Greenburgh. A NYS committee has recommended that the hospital be closed. A major effort is being waged to save the hospital – which is known for high quality, personalized care. Patients are treated like neighbors, not like numbers! I host a radio program on WVOX Radio every Monday morning from 11 AMto 12 noon. This Monday, December 4th my guest will be James Foy, President and CEO of Riverside Health Care –which oversees the administration of the CommunityHospitalat Dobbs Ferry.
