HELP REQUESTED IN FINDING APARTMENT FOR TENANTS GREENBURGH MAY EVICT
Release Date: October 23, 2006

Your help is wanted. The town has taken ownership of an apartment on Main Street in Dobbs Ferry due to a foreclosure.. Our building inspector has advised that the building has structural problems. As a result, we are in the process of evicting the remaining tenants. I am trying to help one of the families find housing. It's difficult. The wife works. The husband has a disability. The family has a child and can afford about $1300 a month in rent.
If you know of any apartments in the region that might be available please advise. My e mail is pfeiner@greenburghny.com. My phone is 993-1540 or home: 478-1219.
Another problem the family is having is that when they find the apartment they will probably be asked to pay one months rent in advance, security and a finder's fee to the realtor. This will create a major hardship. I am trying to assist them financially so that they can move to an apartment soon. If you would be willing to to make a donation so that they can pay these extra expenses please call me or email me and I'll advise you how you can go about doing so.
The family is very nice and decent. They did not create the problem they now have. They are unlucky because their building has structural problems. Please help them find an apartment so they can have a happy & less stressful holiday season.
