Iagallo retires...Lucasey appointed Deputy Parks Commissioner, Robinson Assistant Comm. of Parks

Some personnel changes:

Gerry Iagallo, Town Assessor, has announced his retirement (effective July 31). Among Gerry Iagallo’s accomplishments: acquiring and re-developing the new Town Hall building (below market value)…acquiring 177 additional acres of open space land on Taxter Road for a nominal fee…developing the Town’s Geographic Information System. The first WEB based Geographic Information system in New York State, the second in the United States…a victorious landmark court ruling overturning decades of outdated practice by the courts as to the appropriate, accurate real estate valuation formulas and theory…several successful lobbying efforts resulting in fairer court decisions of certiorari law suits…training staff in modern day valuation techniques. Gerry was named the town’s first employee of the Year. We wish him the best of luck and thank him for his dedicated service.

Joe Lucasey has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Parks & Recreation, replacing Brent Bass who retired earlier this month. James Robinson, who has served as Assistant Commissioner at the TheodoreYoungCommunity Center, has been appointed Assistant Commissioner of Parks & Recreation.

Steve Schoengold, the longtime purchasing director, retired last month. A search for his replacement is currently taking place. Ad’s have been placed in various newspapers.
