SOLAR PANELS BEING INSTALLED AT TOWN HALL--work started today!
Release Date: March 28, 2006

I am pleased to report that solar panels are being installed at the roof of GreenburghTown Hall. The work started today (March 28). The solar panels will power a small portion of Town Hall.  Greenburgh was one of 12 municipalities from around the state that received a state grant that was used to fund a large portion of the project. We hope that once the solar panels are installed (work should be completed within a few weeks) that businesses and residents will be motivated to pursue solar panels and other energy alternatives at their homes/businesses. We also hope that student groups will visit Town Hall and learn about solar power.

Nikki Coddington, our energy conservation coordinator, is organizing a dedication ceremony/energy conservation fair for Saturday, May 13th.
