EDGEMONT HS SENIOR AND ARDSLEY HS JUNIOR NAMED COORDINATORS OF 2019 GREENBURGH SNOW ANGELS
Release Date: December 20, 2018

2019 will mark the 28th year of the Greenburgh snow angels. I am pleased to announce the appointment of this year's snow angel coordinators: Jared Turell, a senior at Edgemont High School and Miles Cooperman, a sophomore at Ardsley High.  The best way to contact them to volunteer or obtain help  is by e mailing:  greenburghsnowangels@gmail.   We depend on volunteers from around the town to help those in need.

The snow angels try to match up volunteers with the elderly and disabled.  The angels clear driveways and paths for seniors who are physically unable to clear the snow themselves.  This year the Poet's Corner Civic Association membership voted to donate $500 for supplies to help the snow angel program.

Also here are their  bios:

Jared Turell, a senior at Edgemont High School, and Miles Cooperman,
a sophomore at Ardsley

High School, will be coordinating the Greenburgh Snow Angels program this winter. Jared said he is interested in Snow Angels because he really wants to “help out those in the community that can’t help themselves, whether it be because of age, financial reasons,

or disabilities, even if it is something as small as shoveling their driveway.” Jared has been involved with Snow Angels since last year, as well as founding his own school club, EdgemontFULL (Friends Using Leftovers Lovingly). There he collects leftover food

from families in Edgemont and donates them to the White Plains Open Arms Shelter.

Miles Cooperman is sophomore at Ardsley High School who worked as a snow angel last
year. He truly enjoyed being able to help those in need through the program.  This year, he is excited to take a more active role as a coordinator of the program.
I created the snow angels program shortly after I was elected Town Supervisor. It's rewarding helping seniors and disabled residents --some who need a path to their home in the event of emergencies.
