Received an e mail from the Director of Marketing and  Community Outreach for Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College in Hawthorne, Rachel Silva.

As you might be aware, they are New York's newest dental school and recently opened our 81-chair dental teaching practice (Touro Dental Health) to the public. It's really a spectacular facility that is unlike any other in the region -- even more modern and digitally advanced than well-known schools in Manhattan or across the country and staffed by a team of experts in every dental discipline. The mission is to ensure access to quality, low-cost dental care for underserved populations, including those with Medicaid or without insurance, while training dental professionals that will return to serve their communities with advanced knowledge. 

On February 16 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM they are giving kids a smile by providing free dental care for children.  Space is limited. Register by February 9^th at 747-1199. They  have assembled a team of 15 dentists from the community to provide free dental care and screenings for children as part of the national Give Kids a Smile campaign. We are hoping to spread the word to the community, especially to lower income areas or families without dental insurance who will most benefit. The event is open to the public and they are partnering with a few head start programs to bring in patients.
