A beautiful new community center that is open to all has been named for former Ardsley Village Trustee Harold Shames and his wife Elaine. The Harold & Elaine Shames JCC on the Hudson has a fantastic fitness center, indoor pool, personal training, programs for youth, teens and seniors, after school childcare, day camps and lecture programs. This morning I attended the dedication ceremony and was impressed at how beautiful the facility is. Among those who worked hard to turn the dream of a new community center into reality was former Greenburgh Town Clerk Susan Tolchin.
