ARDSLEY HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM RAISES $16,100 FOR FAMILY OF SHIVONIE HOOBRAJ

If you want to know what a community should be about read the following summary of the Ardsley Varsity Football Team’s spaghetti dinner this past Sunday to raise funds to help Shivonie Hoobraj. Shivonie was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She is a single mom and has two sons who attend the Ardsley schools.  Shivonie was at the event this Sunday thanking those who attended the dinner which raised $16,100 for the family!
In these times, when we are flooded with news about the horrible things happening around the world – it’s nice to know that there are good people out there who care and who are making lives better for neighbors who need help.

Thanks so much to everyone who attended / participated in the Ardsley Varsity Football Team’s spaghetti dinner fundraiser this past Sunday, November 15th! We appreciate your participation in this event to help Shivonie Hoobraj.
  
We appreciate the many friends, families, community members and media who attended and showed their support, care and helped us rally to help this family in need.  We are happy to report the event was a big success - over 500 people attended the fundraiser and $16,100 was raised for the family.  Ardsley High School Varsity Football coach Colin Maier will present a check to the Hoobraj family soon.  We invite additional donations to be sent to the family c/o Rob Wootten 17 Fuller Avenue, Ardsley, New York 10502.
