Another supermarket closing-- A& P ON TARRYTOWN ROAD

Just learned that the A & P will be closing the A & P on Tarrytown Road (Route 119). Last night I reported that the A & P is closing Pathmark. Both stores could close within the next two months.
I am concerned about the impact these two store closings will have on small mom and pop stores in the shopping centers. The supermarkets brought people to the shopping centers. Will meet with realtors and the landlords –will try to help them attract successful new replacement stores. Your suggestions on action steps the town should take to help our small businesses succeed (and to help attract new businesses to the vacant storefronts) would be appreciated.
