TOWN BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVES TAXTER RIDGE
Release Date: November 25, 2003

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved the largest open space acquisition in town history on Monday night. The Town Board voted to authorize the issuance of $3.775,000 in bonds to pay the town’s one third share of the cost of the acquisition of nearly 200 acres of open space. The other 2/3rds of the costs of the property will be paid for by the state and county.

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said that this acquisition will result in the town’s open space inventory increasing from 224 acres when he first took office to 600 acres.  “Residents will appreciate this spectacular park for many generations to come.”
