MARTIN LUTHER KING LUNCH...FUN THINGS....HAITI...BONE MARROW TESTING...MORE

THE annual Martin Luther King Legacy Youth Award luncheon will be held on Martin luther King's birthday -- tomorrow at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown at 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. This event is sponsored by the African American Men of Westchester. Some students from around the county will be honored for making a difference.  Bill Carter, Commissioner of the Theodore Young Community Center, is the MC for the event. Donations: $25-.  This event is always very inspirational.

REMINDER: Testing today for bone marrow transplant candidates. Taty Abrams, an 11 year old girl with longtime ties to the Greenburgh community, has leukemia. The testing will take place at the Theodore Young Community Center between 12-5 PM. Staff at the TDYCC are volunteering their time to help save Ms. Abrams life.

The Greenburgh Nature Center has a program --finding winter birds today at 2 PM at the Nature Center.

The Town Board will be meeting on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. A special meeting and work session. Town Clerk Judith Beville is planning a fundraiser for the victims of the Haitian earthquake. We're planning a musical event at Greenburgh Town Hall later this month. Different musicians will donate their time, performing at the lobby for Town Hall. We will encourage people to make a contribution to the Haitian victims when they stop by at Town Hall.
