BUSES REFUSED TO PICK UP PASSENGERS
Release Date: August 18, 2003

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner reports that constituents have complained to him that Westchester bound buses leaving NYC during the blackout refused to pick up Westchester commuters---even though they were empty. I've received reports that bee line buses were driving from NYC to Westchester but wouldn't stop to help Westchester commuters stranded in NYC. This is an outrage. I will be contacting the county and Liberty Bus lines and will be asking them to investigate this matter. In the event of another emergency this must not happen again.
