COMPREHENSIVE PLAN HEARING ON MARCH 26
Release Date: March 13, 2003

The Town Board has scheduled a public hearing on the Comprehensive Plan for March 26 and April 9 at 7:l5 PM at Town Hall. This is a very important hearing---the new laws will be adopted by May of this year. This plan focuses on the town's vision for conserving its important open space resources. It also balances the goal with the need for prudent economic development. The plan recommends, among other things, new laws governing development of properties containing freshwater wetlands and steep slopes, and a new law pertaining to historic preservation and floor area ratio and setback requirements.

If you want to meet with staff before the hearing--that is encouraged. You can read about the plan on our web site: www.greenburghny.com. Copies are available at Town Hall and at the library. The Planning Department's phone is 993 l505. This is the lst time in recent history that the town will have a comprehensive plan. The legislation is one of the most significant actions we will be taking. My phone is 993 l540. Call me or email me at pfeiner@greenburgh.com. PAUL FEINER
