The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the placement of a 9ll Memorial Mural at a town park. 2 parks have been proposed for the mural: Webb Park & a mini park across from l00 E Hartsdale Ave. A location on a private building in downtown E Hartsdale Ave will not be pursued. The Westchester Council of the Arts involved over l000 artists who painted 2000 tiles which will be displayed at a park. The Greenburgh Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and Greenburgh Arts & Culture Committee endorsed the proposal. Jonathan Mann of the Arts Council appeared before the Town Board. The Town Board appointed Del Hillgartner, Elwyn Walshe, Antonio Correia, Jeffrey Grant, Yolanda Robinson, Alan Hochberg and Toby White to serve as members of the Cable TV Advisory Board. The Board also scheduled a hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Plan/wetlands & Steep Slopes reg's, historic preservation legislation and floor area ratio requirements for March 26th at 7:l5 PM at Town Hall Finally, the Board authorized the privatization of the Youth Summer Baseball Camps--Frozen Ropes Baseball Training Center to run program.
