UPDATE: I received the following update from the Village of Elmsford. Last night the town kept the multipurpose center open for residents who were flooded. However, all the residents of 180 East Hartsdale Ave and 170 Easts Hartsdale Ave who were evacuated found other accomodations (including the Marriott) so we closed the multipurpose center down around 2 AM. There is flooding at the basement of 160 East Hartsdale Ave but the building was not evacuated. There is extensive flooding in the basements of the stores on E Hartsdale Ave--many stores will not be open today.
Additional streets that are partially or totally closed or that have restricted acccess: Beaver Hill, Warehouse Lane, Saw Mill River Road, S Central Ave (parts), part of Old Tarrytown Road-between Hillside and Manhattan, part of Sprain/South Sprain, Lawrence, Fairview Park.
A special thank you to the fire departments for pumping people's basements and the Greenburgh Police and Public Works dept for working so hard to help those families who have experienced problems. PAUL FEINER
