I attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Sheraton/Tarrytown Hotel on Route 119. The hotel, located near the Marriott, is in unincorporated Greenburgh. The hotel has 150 deluxe rooms and will make an attractive addition to the town.
A group of Hartsdale residents are working hard to find additional parking spaces for residents of E Hartsdale Ave. More and more young families are moving into the apartments on E Hartsdale Ave– with extra cars. There is a parking space shortage for some residents. The committee has been meeting – trying to come up with creative ideas. They have a new web site: fixehaparking.com. If you are interested in joining the committee please e mail me and I’ll advise the committee leadership.
The Hartsdale Parking district has advised me that change machines (for parking) will be placed at Site A for the convenience of people who need change to feed the meters.
The Greenburgh Town Board will be meeting this Tuesday at 3:30 PMto set a date for a public hearing to consider a local law to increase tax exemptions for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
