Greenburgh Town Board to hear presentation conditions of court house and police headquarters May 22
Release Date: May 03, 2019

GREENBURGH TOWN BOARD TO HEAR PRESENTATION ON MAY 22ND- CONDITIONS OF COURT HOUSE AND POLICE HEADQUARTERS

Do  we need to start planning for a new police HQ & Court House? Please attend our meeting on the 22nd

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 7:30PM, the Town of Greenburgh Town Board will devote the first part of our regularly scheduled  meeting to discuss conditions at the court house and police headquarters.  Our meetings are always televised and streamed live on the town website: www.greenburghny.com

During the meeting Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney will present information on the current working conditions of the Greenburgh Police Station. Some of the Town Judges and court administrator will present information on the existing conditions at the Greenburgh Town Court. The information provided by Chief McNerney, and representatives of the court will include the current building conditions, operating deficiencies, and building obstacles to the future growth of the both departments. The community will have an opportunity to ask questions in reference to the material that is presented.

This public information session is the beginning of a process for the public to hear the facility issues in the existing Police Station, and Court House. The process will provide the community an opportunity to provide input in determining the best course of action to take to resolve the space issues. This is only the first step in a community process.

There will be Town of Greenburgh employees from various departments present at the meeting to hear, document, and answer community questions.

The Greenburgh Police Department, and Town Court are an integral part of our community fabric, providing support throughout the entire Town. The ability of the Police Department, and the Town Court to meet the needs of the community is critical in maintaining the great Town we live in. Residents from across our entire Town are encouraged to attend this meeting.

Please plan to attend this Town Board Meeting, and learn firsthand the facility issues facing both our Police Station, and Town Court. As usual, the meeting will be televised live from Town Hall.

Paul Feiner
