HALLOWEEN NIGHT POLICE REPORT--VERY QUIET
Release Date: October 31, 2018

Every Halloween, for the past twenty seven years, I have been riding around town with the Police Chief--patrolling streets within Greenburgh. As mentioned earlier today - early in my tenure as Town Supervisor there was lots of activity around town--mischief, vandalism, property damage. One year we even had some car fires.

Tonight, Police Chief Chris McNerney and I drove around town for a few hours. The police radio was quiet---not one call relating to unincorporated Greenburgh.  We did, however, learn of a burglary in a neighboring village- Ardsley. Ardsley has a very good police department and I'm hopeful that the person(s) who committed the crime will be caught and brought to justice.

We drove around sections of town that had experienced problems in years past --and did not observe any mischief or problems. Earlier today I asked residents to e mail me if they wanted us to stop by. We made some house calls.  A handful of residents who were away tonight asked if we could check up on their homes--which we did. After we stopped by their homes I sent the residents an e mail advising that their home and property was safe. Enjoy their time away from home knowing that they have nothing to worry about.

Also stopped by at the Theodore Young Community Center for their annual Halloween party---a great turnout of kids and parents--wearing great Halloween costumes and enjoying each other's company. I was very impressed with the great job the TDYCC did organizing the event.

Here's to a safe rest of the year! A big thank you to the Police for doing a fantastic job as usual and to our kids for being respectful of other people's property.

PAUL FEINER
