A moving play about bigotry, tolerance, fear and courage
Release Date: October 07, 2018

Clocktower Players, an adult troupe that performs at the historic Town Hall Theater in Irvington has an amazing show that many Greenburgh residents will find inspiring: THE LARAMIE PROJECT. Twenty years ago on October 7, 1998 Matthew Shepard, a 21 year old student at the University of Wyoming, was brutally attacked and tied to a fence in a field outside of Laramie, Wyoming and left to die. That November ten New Yorkers set out for Laramie to explore a town and the crime that occurred there. After interviewing more than 200 residents they created a deeply moving play about bigotry and tolerance, fear and courage, hate and hope.  Cagle McDonald is the producer of the show performing in Irvington. It's directed by George Croom.
If you want to erase hate and want to be inspired by those who aren't afraid to speak out - this show is for you.  A percentage of the profits of this production will be donated to the Matthew Shepard Foundation: ERASING HATE through understanding, compassion  and acceptance.

By the way - Clocktower Players produces first class shows during the year --Broadway quality.  We are lucky to have them as part of our community. THANK YOU
