Last year NYS initiated a major bridge repair project—resulting in the closure of Payne Street. This work has caused significant inconveniences to residents who live on or near Payne Street in North Elmsford.
I received the following update from the NYS Department of Transportation relating to the construction project and when the road will re-open. Sorry for any inconveniences.
Dear Supervisor Feiner:
Thank you for your email to Acting Regional Director Lance MacMillan requesting an update on the Payne Street Bridge project.
The contractor for this project plans to continue work on the retaining/abutment wall beginning the second week of April, weather permitting. This work will take approximately one month to complete. Additionally, a temporary traffic signal is being setup to allow alternating traffic on Payne Street during off hours (evening/nighttime). The signal is expected to be setup within a couple of weeks.
We anticipate the project will be completed by June 1.
TOWN UPGRADING WEBSITE—HAS ISSUED AN RFP INVITING PROPOSALS
The RFP for "Greenburgh Website Design and Hosting Services" has been posted on our website. If you know of companies that specialize in web design please forward the RFP to them. Our current website: www.greenburghny.com has lots of information but there is a lot of clutter and it is difficult for residents to find some information that could be useful.
Below is the link to the RFP.
