After the Governor declared a state of emergency -and encouraged residents to stay off the roads we decided to close Town Hall. If you're still working we hope that you will follow the recommendations of public safety officials and get home home early. Better safe than injured. Road conditions are slippery. Heavy winds, accumulating snow will make road conditions more hazardous as the day/evening progresses. Our snow removal crews are out on the roads.
Although I'm working from home - I can be reached on my cell 914-438-1343 or by e mail : pfeiner@greenburghny.com. I check my e mails non stop during snow emergencies.
IF YOU HAVE A CHILD AT HOME WHO ISN'T HAPPY THAT HE/SHE IS NOT IN SCHOOL --ENCOURAGE THEM TO THINK OF A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT THEY CAN TAPE AT OUR CABLE TV STUDIO AT TOWN HALL. Over the years students at every grade level --from kindergarten to 3rd and 4th grader's--middle school & high school students, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts have produced and taped their own public service announcements. Here are a few links.
Interested? What does your child think should be done at the local, state or national levels? They should speak out. E mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. or call me and we can discuss the next steps. Today's student activists will become tomorrow's national leaders!
