SUBSTANTIAL RAIN TONIGHT TO SATURDAY, STRONG POTENTIAL FLOODING, CHECK BASINS OR INLETS
Please be advised there is going to be a busy stretch of weather coming up
The first concern is going to be periods of rain late tonight through Sat.
morning. Rainfall totals are likely to be on the order of 1.50-2.50" which combined with snow melt, frozen
ground and rivers will lead to an enhanced flooding threat of poor drainage & streams, creeks & rivers.
In addition as the storm pulls away on Sat, it will pull in much colder air which not only may allow
for a bit of sleet, but will present a decent freeze up/black ice threat late in the day or evening as
temperatures settle below freezing. The town is out working on drainage hotspots and we will do whatever we can to minimize flooding. However, areas prone to flooding situations could be problems.
If you have any basins or inlets on your property please check them. Feel free to reach out to me anytime. My e mail is pfeiner@greenburghny.com
