3 very fun events this weekend--Octoberfest in Hastings on Friday..Dobbs Ferry Festa this Saturday..

There are three very fun events this weekend that you and your family might want to enjoy.

Hastings is holding their Oktoberfest on Friday, October 13 from 6 Pm to 9 PM at Boulanger Plaza, Hastings. Featuring live music, food and drink, Boro6 wine bar (german wine as well as elder flower lemonade for the kids).  The Hastings Volunteer Fire department and Hastings Volunteer fire department ambulance corp will present the Jaw of Life extrication demos, ambulance demos, smoke trailer demo.  For your kids a fire truck jumpy castle.  Find out how strong you are? Between 7:20 and  7:40 you can hold a water filled glass stein in the air for the longest amount of time and you will win a Mill gift certificate.   There is a silly string area for little children.  Shops and art galleries as well as the Galapagos Book store will be open late.

 

Dobbs Ferry Festa Saturday: One of the best events of the year takes place this Saturday October 14 from 1 Pm to 8 pm at Cedar and Main Street in Dobbs Ferry.  A large community event, gigantic street fair with festivities, crafts, entertainment, music and vendors.  And---it’s FREE.  Thousands of people attend each year. You can enter the Festa at Cedar, Oak, Elm and Chestnut Streets as well as from the south end of Main Street.  There is parking on Broadway, the streets surrounding the Festa, at Mercy College and at the middle/High School.  Parking at the village’s water front lot with a shuttle bus that takes people back to and from the Festa.

 

Great food, great drink, great music, great fun, great people. 

 

On Saturday, October 14th from 2 pm to 9 PM Irvington  is celebrating their Rocktoberfest at Matthiessen Park.  1st annual Cornhole tgournament (register at NYcornhole.com).  Food trucks. Bands. A great show. You also have the chance to be on stage as a karoke performer.
