HOW TO HELP HURRICANE VICTIMS (INCLUDING PETS)--funeral home in Dobbs Ferry organizing help

Pet's were also victims of Hurricane Harvey. Joseph Casario, who owns Edwards Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry is holding an event this Sunday at the Funeral Home seeking supplies for the best friends of humans. Shelters are in desperate need of supplies. Please help if you can.   Below the announcement I listed some other ways you can help the victims.   The recommendations came from Volunteer New York and the USA TODAY network.

Please join us for breakfast on Sunday Sept. 3 from 9AM-12 NOON.

Supplies needed:

Food, Litter, Bowls, Leashes, Collars, Slip Leads, Blankets, Collapsible Crates.

 

The Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home will absorb 100% of all shipping costs to insure prompt delivery to the TX. S.P.C.A .

 

The devastation that TX has endured during Hurricane Harvey is immense.  Families have been displaced along with their pets. The shelters are full and in desperate need of supplies.  Thank you in advance.

ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY ON 911 TO PROVIDE HELP TO HURRICANE VICTIMS AT THE COUNTY CENTER

The volunteerNew York. org suggests that you provide supplies to the AFYA Foundation which will be sending over the supplies to Texas.

Lohud. com wrote an editorial and mentioned that  The San Angelo Standard-Times, recommends giving money as the fastest way to have impact. Here is their list of organizations the Standard-Times, gosanangelo.com, recommends:

  • Save the Childrensavethechildren.org. Save the Children’s emergency response team is on the ground in San Antonio, Texas, working to meet children and families’ immediate needs
  • Apple: The multimedia giant has set up a donation link directly on iTunes and App Store.Visit apple.com for more information. Donations will go directly to the American Red Cross.
  • Starbucks: Customers can make donations at any U.S. Starbucks store. Donations will be forwarded to the American Red Cross.
