In recent years Greenburgh Town Clerk Judith Beville and I have encouraged students to participate in our winter, spring and summer internship program. High School students just started a four week internship yesterday and we're planning an exciting summer program. Noor Brewer just completed her winter internship. The spring internship program students are working on a few projects including pursuing the organic food recycling initiative.

PAUL FEINER
Noor Brewster, a resident of Edgemont and a student at Fordham interned at Greenburgh Town Hall from January to May 2017. She worked on several projects during the duration of her internship. She helped create the Town’s social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. She also had the pleasure of interviewing several community members on Greenburgh Public Access television. She interviewed Greenburgh’s Chief of Police, Chris McNerney, on the Department’s goals for social media. She interviewed a local fitness business owner about the struggles associated with competition, a local teen who discussed his experience of starting a juice company while still in high school, and, last but not least, the directors of the Dobbs Ferry Food pantry who talked about the problem of hunger in Greenburgh as well as ways to help out. Noor said that "Overall, during my internship I have had the opportunity to do some really great work and I’ve acquired many skills that I’m sure will help me a lot in the future."
Here is the link to the five interviews Noor conducted during her internship: http://greenburghpublicaccess.com/cable-access-specialty
The topics were Raw Beverages Company, the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry, Vadim Fitness, Greenburgh Police on Social Media, and Homeschooling.
