We are preparing for tomorrows snow storm. We have rescheduled the Town Board special meeting for Wednesday at 3 PM (originally scheduled for tomorrow). The meeting to launch our new solar initiative has been postponed to a week from Tuesday at 7 PM (not tomorrow).
 
We are cancelling sanitation pick up  tomorrow.
 
Our crews are working hard preparing for tomorrow’s snow storm. As I write – they are loading the trucks with salt. The plows are being placed on the trucks.  Our salt shed is stocked with salt. We are putting brine treatment on roads. Because of the intensity of the snow other DPW staff (besides highway) are going to be assigned to snow removal operations.   I believe that we are prepared for tomorrows snow event.
 
Please stay off the road and keep your cars off the road.  Cars can be towed if they interfere with our operations. Our goal: keep the travelling public safe.
