SEWER LINE BREAK AT INTERSECTION DOBBS FERRY ROAD/KNOLLWOOD ROAD (TRAFFIC CONGESTION ADVISORY)

ADVISORY—THERE IS A SEWER LINE BREAK AT THE INTERSECTION OF DOBBS FERRY ROAD AND KNOLLWOOD ROAD (Near Benjamin’s Restaurant). There could be some traffic delays at this location while the repairs are taking place—which could take most of the day.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
 
Greenburgh voters will get a chance to vote in the Democratic and Republican Presidential primaries. But—you must be registered to vote and also must be registered to vote in a political party. The following information was taken from the NYS Board of Elections website. Please be advised that if you are not registered to vote- you have till March 25th to register. If you want to change political parties (are currently enrolled in one party but want to switch) – you can’t vote in the 2016 Presidential primaries. Sorry!  
If you are going to be out of town on April 19th or have a son/daughter in a college out of town (and they want to vote in the primary)—the following absentee ballot info is important:
 
April 12 Last day to postmark an application or letter of application by mail for an absentee ballot. 
April 18 Last day to apply IN-PERSON for absentee ballot. 
April 18 Last day to postmark ballot. Must be received by the local board of elections no later than April 26th.

April 19, 2016 Presidential Primary Deadlines
 
MAIL REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-210(3))
Application must be postmarked no later than March 25th and received by a board of elections no later than March 30th to be eligible to vote in the Primary.
 
IN PERSON REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Sections 5-210, 5-211, 5-212)
You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the Federal Primary, your application must be received no later than March 25th.
 
CHANGE OF ADDRESS (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-208(3))
Notices of change of address from registered voters received by March 30th by a county board of elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the Presidential Primary.
 
June 28, 2016 Congressional Primary Deadlines
 
MAIL REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-210(3))
Application must be postmarked no later than June 3rd and received by a board of elections no later than June 8th  to be eligible to vote in the Primary.
 
IN PERSON REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Sections 5-210, 5-211, 5-212)
You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the Federal Primary, your application must be received no later than June 3rd.
 
CHANGE OF ADDRESS (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-208(3))
Notices of change of address from registered voters received by June 8th  by a county board of elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the Presidential Primary.
 
September 13, 2016 State and Local Primary Deadlines (Subject To Change)
 
MAIL REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-210(3))
Application must be postmarked no later than August 19th and received by a board of elections no later than August 24th to be eligible to vote in the Primary.
 
IN PERSON REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Sections 5-210, 5-211, 5-212)
You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the State and Local Primary, your application must be received no later than August 19th.
 
CHANGE OF ADDRESS (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-208(3))
Notices of change of address from registered voters received by August 24th by a county board of elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the State & Local Primary.
 
November 8, 2016 General Election Deadlines
 
MAIL REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-210(3))
Applications must be postmarked no later than October 14th and received by a board of elections no later than October 19th to be eligible to vote in the General Election.
 
IN PERSON REGISTRATION (N.Y. Election Law Sections 5-210, 5-211, 5-212)
You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the November General Election, your application must be received no later than October 14th.
 
CHANGE OF ADDRESS (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-208(3))
Notices of change of address from registered voters received by October 19th by a county board of elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the General Election.
