Community leader sponsors meeting to discuss lower utility bills tomorrow at 7
Release Date: June 23, 2015

Ken Stahn, a civic association leader, has some concerns about the proposal Sustainable Westchester has made that could lower your utility bills. He has invited representatives of Sustainable Westchester to meet with members of the community tomorrow at 7 PM before the Town Board meeting. And, asked that I share this e mail with subscribers of our e list. If you have any questions feel free to join your neighbors at this pre- Town Board meeting with a representative of Sustainable Westchester..

At 7 PM Wednesday June 24th, 2015 there will be a meeting in the Cafeteria of the Town Hall to discuss with Sustainable Westchester their plan to lower our Utilities bills for gas and electric.  This topic is up for Public Discussion that night on the public Hearing Agenda as the fourth item.  This will allow you direct contact with Sustainable Westchester to ask questions directly to them instead of going through the Town Board.  This may be a very good thing but there are many unanswered questions before you have to OPT-OUT INSTEAD 0F OPT-IN.

Please post this our Web-site and the gblist so people can come to ask questions..

Thanking you in advance for your help in keep this issue transparent.

MIDWAY SHOPPING CENTER  ON CENTRAL AVEWANTS TO EXPAND.  THE Town Board is holding a public hearing tomorrow night after 7:30 PM. The shopping center is very successful--Shoprite, Smashburger, Panera Bread, etc... I have some concerns about the current traffic flow at the shopping center  and wonder if it is possible to improve parking and traffic flow  at the shopping center --especially if more construction at the site is allowed.  Speaking personally - I'd like to see traffic safety improvements made first BEFORE we allow any expansion.   What do you think?  E mail townboard@greenburghny.com.   Info about the proposal can be found on the link below (if link does not work visit our website and find the link on the Town Board agenda for tomorrow).
