Mediation is an inexpensive way to solve disagreements while preserving relationships. Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process where a neutral third party facilitates a conversation between the parties to help them reach an agreement. IS THE REALLY TERRIBLE ORCHESTRA TERRIBLE?   FIND OUT --CONCERT AT GREENBURGH LIBRARY THIS SUNDAY AT 2 PM....
 The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester was founded by five amateur Westchester musicians at a meeting held on March 3, 2009 held at the Greenburgh Public Library and is now celebrating its Fifth Anniversary.  The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester was modeled after the Really Terrible Orchestra of Edinburgh, Scotland, created by author Alexander McCall Smith in 1995 as a group of amateur musicians who, without auditions or musical expertise, could come together as an organized orchestra for the sole purpose of having fun playing music together. The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester has welcomed scores of amateur musicians into its group, with no auditions and open arms, and has grown from the original five members in 2009 to over 40 members today,
 The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester performed a benefit concert on November 9, 2013 at the Yonkers Public Library to raise money for Maya Leggat, a violinist and member of the Orchestra who was seriously injured when she was pushed in from on an oncoming train on September 25, 2013 and now the Orchestra anxiously awaits her return to full health and to the orchdestra.The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester is led by Ivy League Educated and Classical bass player, Nathaniel Chase who shares his vast knowledge of music with members of the Orchestra while continually introducing them to new and challenging musical pieces.
  The Really Terrible Orchestra is celebrating their 5th year anniversary at the Greenburgh Library this Sunday. You'll enjoy the concert at 2 PM.

Transplant Support Organization (TSO) on Friday, 2/28/2014


The following questions are very good conversation starters about organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation.  They allow us to cover a great deal of background material to illuminate the current issues and concerns shared by transplant recipients, those who have received a transplant and those who are still waiting.  Please feel free to add your own questions to this list.

• What kinds of organ, eye, and tissue transplants are being performed?  Are transplants successful?
• How does the transplantation system work?  How does the public become donors?
• Are any of us recipients?  What organ?  Why did we need a transplant?
• How many people are on the transplant waiting list in the United States?  How many in New York State? 
• Why is the list so large?  Why do people wait such a long time?
• What kind of services, programs, and support does TSO provide?
• What does TSO do to support Greenburgh?
