My name is Barbara Miller. I'm 55 years old & I need a kidney!!
I grew up in Scarsdale & was raised by my aunt & grandmother due to my parents dying when I was just a few mos old! I had a great life, hardly ever sick. In 1986 I got married & in 1987 had my son, Trenton. Having been an only child I wanted more kids so I got pregnant again. That baby was born 4 mos early. & only lived a week. After he was born I was very sick & it was then discovered that I had poly cystic kidney disease. That was 21 years ago! Recently my Dr began talking about dyalisis. & one of my best friends offered her kidney! I thought my problems were over but in the end it didn't work out! In about a weeks time another girl from Norway offered to come here & be tested etc & she was a match! I had a date of March 14th to get my new kidney but sadly that wasn't meant to be. Turned out her kidneys weren't strong enough.
I am scared naturally! I love my son & he recently became engaged! I want to see him get married & I want to be a grandmother more than anything!!
I'm a nanny for 3 of the greatest kids & I have taken a 3 mo leave from my job because I thought I'd be getting over my surgery! I miss the kids & having a reason to get up e wry day to go to work at the best job I ever had! ( hopefully ill be going back in June)
I love my life! I have 2 bull terriers who are my 4 legged daughters. I don't want to leave them nor my son, his fiancé or my husband of 26 years!
Please help me to have a longer life!
