A community meeting is being scheduled for Thursday, January 29th at 7:00 PM to 9 PMat Yonkers Public Library, 1500 Central Park Ave, Yonkersto discuss strategy to save the Westchester-NY express bus. Please attend this meeting. I will also invite Sal DiPaolo of Service Bus Company to this meeting. Service Company has expressed interest in providing the exact service to commuters at the same fares (without county subsidies). The only request that they have is that the county collect the State Operating Assistance Dollars from NY State and pass it on to the company. These funds are available for every omnibus line.
I will also invite elected officials to attend this meeting (local, county, state). We MUST SAVE THIS IMPORTANT ROUTE. Good public transportation is vital to WestchesterCountyresidents.
Please call your local officials and neighbors and urge them to attend the meeting.
