Town Clerk, Judith A. Beville, has arranged for residents of the Town of Greenburgh (the Town entire – including the Villages) to safely destroy unwanted personal papers and documents! The Mobil Shredder, provided through the Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities – Recycling Office, will be at the Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Avenue, Greenburgh, New York on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
The Mobile Shredder is for residents, only. Paper generated by businesses, schools, institutions, government or municipal offices will not be accepted for this event. Each resident may bring a maximum of 4 file boxes, approximately 10” by 12” by 15” in size. All paper must be free of paper clips, bindings, folders and files. No bound or hardcover ledger books are allowed.
Shredding helps protect residents from identity theft as well as provides an opportunity to destroy unwanted personal papers and documents that contain personal identifying information. Residents should bring old documents and bills, pre-approved credit card applications, old credit card bills, receipts, bank statements, old tax returns or any other documents containing personal identifying information.
For further information about this event, please call the Office of the Town Clerk at 993-1500, ext. 5 and speak with Marcia or Lee.
