The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the payment of the difference in salaries for members of the US Military Reserves and National Guard called to active duty as a result of the war with Iraq. Town employees earn more than members of the military and could have faced significant financial hardships if this policy had not been adopted. Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner has written to the County Executive and Board of Legislators urging the county to adopt a similar resolution.
