You can hold your event at Webb Field parking lot
Release Date: October 31, 2016
A few weeks ago Marisa Goldberg asked if she could organize a TRUNK OR TREAT event at a town owned parking lot. Some communities around the nation have been promoting Trunk or Treat events. They are safe and fun. Parents and children dress up in costumes and go from car to car to collect free candy. Because there was no time to organize a town TRUNK OR TREAT event, Marisa invited about 20 friends. They had the event on Sunday at AF Veteran park. It was successful. Next year we will expand the event and make this a town sponsored program. Music and food could make the program even more enjoyable. The police placed markers –creating a safe zone for kids. TONIGHT—the Greenburgh police department will work hard to make sure that you, your property and children are safe. No mischief or vandalism is our goal! We know areas where there have been problems in the past (although in recent years we’ve had few complaints) and will assign officers to spend extra time in those areas.
CHIEF AND I WILL PATROL NEIGHBORHOODS TONIGHT....WILL MAKE HOUSECALLS TOO!
I will be joining the Police Chief during the early evening patrolling the streets around town. If you would like us to stop by to discuss any concerns please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. If you feel that your neighborhood needs more attention, please feel free to contact me.
Hope that all of us will be able to enjoy a safe Halloween tonight.
