WHAT'S HAPPENING ON PAYNE STREET.. JOB STRATEGIES FOR THE MATURE WORKER WHO WANTS EMPLOYMENT

Some residents who live in the North Elmsford section of town have asked –why the sewer/drain system on Payne St was dug up and the sidewalk broken. We are replacing the disabled ramps on the sidewalk. To qualify for reimbursement from NYS the town (and all localities) must make sure that sidewalks near roads that have recently been repaved are compliant with ADA laws—and are disabled accessible. We are taking similar actions on sidewalks near other roads that have recently been repaved.
JOB STRATEGIES FOR THE MATURE WORKER—WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26 from 10:30 am to noon at the Greenburgh Library. Older, mature workers are having a difficult time finding work. On October 26th Andi Gray, founder of Strategy Leaders will advise older residents who are out of work how they can understand how to find and connect with the right opportunities. Address potential employer’s needs. Andi Gray employs older employs and she counsels people seeking to re-enter the workforce or reposition themselves for greater income ajd job satisfaction. If you answered YES to any of these questions, please join us on Tuesday, October 19th at the Greenburgh Town Hall at 11 AM as we kick-off the planning session for the College Grad job Networking Group. The purpose of the planning session is to discuss the design, format, content and development of the group. We hope to formally kick-off the first networking session in a few months. This job networking group is open to Greenburgh and non Greenburgh residents.
