Alex Myteberi is a six year old from Edgemont. He was praised by President Obama this past week for offering his home for a child refugee from Syria. Watch the amazing video prepared by the White House. Alex is a real inspiration and a credit to the town of Greenburgh.

The William L. Carter Foundation’s Community Champion Classic Basketball game will take place tonight September 24, 2016 at the Theodore D. Young Community Center. The festivities will start at 6:30 pm with a FREE autograph session with a retired NBA Player. The pre-game session will also include motivational speeches from a former NBA Star who had dreams of making it to the NBA at a young age and was able to live his dream. Find out how he made to the top and made it through some of the trials and tribulations that come with big dreams. He will share his story which parallels the stories of many of our youth today. Also - free Knicks giveaways and a prize wheel. Don't miss a great showcase of basketball and activities for all to enjoy.

The Friends of the Greenburgh Library are holding their annual book sale this weekend. Doors open Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, September 26 from 10 AM to 5 PM. I have attached the flyer promoting the sale.
Saturday – the Hastings fire department parade at 1:30 PM. It’s a county wide parade. If you enjoy parades, this will be among the best. This is the 140th anniversary of Protection Engine Co No 1. A few hundred firefighter’s will be marching with the Westchester County Volunteer Firemen’s Association.
