snow update #3...updating list of snow angel volunteers...buses not operating...library closed
Release Date: January 23, 2016
PLEASE REMOVE CARS FROM STREET --MAKES IT HARDER TO CLEAR ROADS. ROADS ARE SLIPPERY. YOU SHOULD STAY INDOORS IF POSSIBLE. OUR CREWS ARE OUT BUT IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG DAY, WITH MORE SNOW COMING DOWN ALL DAY LONG.
Spent the AM updating the list of snow angel volunteers. Expect to receive a lot of calls tomorrow asking for help with snow removal.
If you or your son/daughter are interested in helping neighbors remove snow please provide me with following information:
Name...phone...e mail...neighborhoods they are willing to help out at...do they expect to get paid or are they willing to volunteer if the person is on a fixed income...when can they help (weekend only or during week)...do they have a shovel or snow blower?
Are snow angels interested in only helping those who have medical needs (last year, for example I shoveled the driveway of two frail elderly residents who needed a path so food could be delivered to them or so emergency personnel could get them out of the house if there was a medical issue) or are they willing to help anyone?
Thanks!
Due to deteriorating weather conditions, the Bee-Line Bus System will suspend service on all its routes at 11 a.m. today (Saturday) until further notice.
Buses currently on the roads will finish all of their routes and then return to their garage. The Greenburgh library is also closed.
