NEXT SCOPING HEARING ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT...ELIZABETH OAKS, 7TH GRADE NATIONAL CHAMP OF CHOPPED JUNIOR TO BE RECOGNIZED

This Wednesday the Town Board will hold a 2nd scoping hearing on the proposed Jefferson complex at 7:30 PM (hearing will start after a few brief presentations). As you know the applicant desires to build 272 apartments on Lawrence – across from Rivertowns Square and near downtown Ardsley. The hearing will be held at Town Hall. Residents who speak for a minute or less will have the first opportunity to speak. Those who want to speak for five minutes will be called after.  Everyone gets a 2nd chance to speak after everyone is called.

The following is a link to the transcripts from the first hearing which was held last month. Please review the transcripts. The purpose of this hearing is to determine what issues need to be studied. If there are other issues that you think need to be studied during our review process that were not included – please highlight them on Wednesday night.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. If you can’t attend the hearing and want your written comments to be part of the record please send your comments to me at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave, White Plains, NY 10603 or e mail townboard@greenburghny.com

ELIZABETH OAKES, 7TH GRADER AND NATIONAL CHAMP OF CHOPPED JUNIOR TO BE RECOGNIZED AT BEGINNING OF WEDNESDAY NIGHT TOWN BOARD MEETING
Elizabeth Oakes is s a 7th grader at Dobbs Ferry Middle School.  Competing on Chopped has been a dream of hers since she watched her first episode in the Bahamas when she was 5 years old.  When she received the call that she was going to be on the first season of Chopped Junior, she was so thrilled and could not wait to cook in the Chopped kitchen.  When Elizabeth is not cooking, she is busy singing, acting, and dancing locally and in New York City.  She also enjoys playing the cello and skiing!  Elizabeth is a life-long Dobbs Ferry resident and lives with her mom(Jennifer), dad(Dave), brother(Jonathan; age 10), and cat(Noughat).  One day she would love to perform on Broadway and she also has dreams of becoming a celebrity chef and owning a restaurant.  Chopped Junior is a national TV program. Being selected to compete is a big honor –and it’s even more prestigious to come in first!  Elizabeth is a real role model for young people. Pleased that we will be able to recognize her at our Town Board meeting.
