USER FEES, TOWN BD BUDGET DISCUSSIONS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...
Release Date: November 20, 2007

SHOULD USER FEES GO UP TO REDUCE SIZE OF TAX HIKE? Last week the Commissioner of Parks met with the Town Board to discuss the proposed budget. Among suggestions discussed: the possibility of increasing user fees by more than $64,000. If the town generates more than $60,000 a year in revenue the tax hike could be slightly lower. What do you think?
The Town Board will be meeting today at 3:45 to review the proposed budget. We will be meeting with the PLanning Dept, police, Theodore Young Community Center, Library, Town Clerk. The meeting is open to the public. My guess is that the meeting won't be finished until late in the evening.
