TAPPAN ZEE MUSIC FESTIVAL CONTINUES TONIGHT
Release Date: July 02, 2007

Last night I had the privilege of giving opening remarks at the Tappan Zee Music Festival. The festival, now in its second year, is held at the Reformed Church of the Tarrytowns. The festival continues tonight from 6 PM to 10 pm (Art Song Marathon). On July 5th at 8 PM - Four Good Reeds Saxophone Ensemble. July 6: 7:30 PM (Chamber Music Concert by Candlelight) and July 7th at 8 PM - Opera Gala Concert.
The quality of the Community Opera Chorus and TZMF Orchestra (under the direction of Anthony Morss) was superb.  Admission is free. This is a great gift to the community!
Dominique Hellsten of Irvington founded the festival. Tonight's festivities celebrate the anniversaries of Grieg, Sibelius and Korngold.
