Hello, I'm Alex Noble, a senior at irvington high school.

There will be a community forum on teenage alcohol and drug use Wednesday, June 6, 2007, from 3:30-5:30 in the Irvington High School auditorium. Local parents, students, educators, and community leaders are invited to come and discuss the teen drinking/drug use and to suggest new approaches to limiting the harmful consequences of substance abuse. The forum will feature a panel discussion and questions from the audience on the subject of underage drinking and drug use. The panel will be made up of educators, law enforcement officials, and nationally recognized experts on the subject. For more information, email greenburghcableshow@gmail.com.

Brief Bio

This meeting is one part of an effort to raise awareness and look for new methods of dealing with drinking and drug use throughout the town of Greenburgh. The effort underway is being directed by a local organization called the Teen Task Force, headed by three student interns working for Town Supervisor Paul Feiner. The students are seniors at Irvington High School, and created the Teen Task Force because of their interest in the teen substance abuse issue. Alex Noble began the project of creating a television series on teen drinking and drug use because believes local schools' and government's policies toward teen drinking and drug use need to be examined and revised. Soon after the project began, he was joined by Daniel Miller. Daniel is involved in this program because he believes the town must review its policies and attitudes towards underage drinking. He joined in the effort of the Teen Task Force because he believes that current local and national approaches to combat illegal drug use are ineffective and counterproductive.
