Town Board approves Code Enforcement plan
Release Date: December 11, 2006

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved the implementation of a comprehensive code enforcement plan at its meeting on December 4.  The plan will help the Town’s employees identify possible issues and problems with the current code enforcement process.

The plan is an outline and will serve as just one tool in the Town’s approach to code enforcement.  The plan will allow the Town to develop and maintain a coordinated system and review procedure where all Town departments will work together to enforce the code’s provisions.

As the plan is more fully implemented in the coming weeks, the Town Board will send out an email that gives residents information about whom to contact should they need to report a code violation.  The Town Board will monitor the code enforcement plan and review its success at least once a year.
