OFFICE OF UNITED STATES POSTMASTER GENERAL REFERRING ALL GREENBURGH POST OFFICE COMPLAINTS
Release Date: February 22, 2018

In recent weeks I have received many daily  e mail complaints about the Postal Service—lack of delivery, people not receiving important medical prescriptions, checks, bills. Mail being sent to the wrong addresses.  Yesterday, for example, some residents (especially those living in Hartsdale) pointed out that they hadn’t received mail in days.   I have been forwarding all complaints to the United  States Postmaster General and to high ranking officials at the Postal Service – in addition to our entire congressional delegation. I have also forwarded complaints to the leadership of the American Postal Workers Union.

I just received the following e mail from the Office of the Postmaster General in Washington indicating that their office has referred all complaints to the Inspector General.  I hope our strategy works and that service starts to improve.   Some residents of the town have been experiencing no problems. They are pleased with their permanent postal service carrier. However, when the assigned carrier is on vacation or sick many people seem to have problems.  There is no excuse for lack of mail delivery, many letters being delivered to the wrong addresses.  Our goal: we want everyone to be able to count on reliable service.

Thank you for forwarding your concerns to me. I am pleased that our concerns are being investigated.  LETTER FROM WASHINGTON BELOW

PAUL FEINER
