Release Date: January 25, 2018

LINK BELOW TO DISCUSSION WITH NEW OWNERS OF ELMWOOD COUNTRY CLUB REGARDING THEIR PROPOSAL TO BUILD TOWN HOUSES AT THE PROPERTY

This is the link to the Town Board discussion with the new owners of the property that used to be known as the Elmwood Country Club. They met with the Town Board, Fairview Fire Chief, Commissioner of Planning and President of the Neighborhood Association at a public meeting of the Town Board work session  to discuss their desire to submit an application to the town to amend the zoning code to allow for the development of 175 residential town houses for buyers 55 and over. They also offered to donate 14 acres of the property of land  that previously was owned by Elmwood to the town east of the Con Ed power lines to the town to expand our parks.  The   owners are proposing buffers of at least 200 feet between regulatory properties and the new units.

If the Town Board does not rezone the property the developer is entitled, as of right, to develop 119 single family homes.

This discussion was a preliminary discussion –in advance of a formal application. If the applicant proceeds, public hearings, additional community meetings, environmental and traffic reviews will take place.   We have not approved or rejected any concept. The Board is only listening at this time.

This is the link to the discussion that took place on Tuesday.  If you watch the meeting you will have  a better understanding of what the applicant wishes to do.

HOW YOU CAN GET YOUR REFUND FROM GOFUNDME REGARDING IF YOU MADE A DONATION TO HELP WOMAN IN ARDSLEY WHO CLAIMED SHE WAS DYING OF CANCER (SHE LIED)

A few days ago I posted on the g list an advisory that gofundme will refund donations made to a woman in Ardsley who claimed she was dying of cancer. She lied. Gofund me will issue a refund. Some residents have e mailed me –stating that they were having difficulty processing the refund request since gofundme asked for a URL.  Received this helpful info from a constituent.

Paul,

This is the reply from the help desk.  I put that link ( https://www.gofundme.com/hb2bf97s) in the form as the site I wanted the refund for.  Then it accepted the from.

Maybe you want to send out the URL to your mailing list?  Without it there seems no way to get the refund.
