The Town of Greenburgh, Veterans Advisory Committee, would like all Town Veterans to be aware of the following:
VETERANS RECOGNITION BREAKFAST: Phelps Memorial Hospice will be hosting its annual Veterans Breakfast at the Westchester Marriott on November 10, 2017, at 10AM. To register to attend the event please contact Cornelia Schimert at 914-666-7616 ext. 1235. Seating is limited so Veterans are encouraged to call early.
VETERANS SMILE DAY: On or about November 10, 2017, participating Dentists in the Ninth District Dental Association will be providing free dental checkups to their Veteran patients. As per the attached flier, Veterans are encouraged to contact their dentist for free checkups on this day. The Veterans Advisory Committee is seeking feedback on this program. VETERANS DAY CEREMONY: On November 11, 2017, at 2PM, The Town of Greenburgh will be holding its annual Veterans Day Ceremony. The event is held at the Veterans Memorial at DeSanti Plaza located opposite the Hartsdale train station. This event is dedicated to our Veterans, and current military personnel. There will be a tent with indoor seating due weather at this time of year. This is a terrific event with Military Honors, short speeches, and is normally 45 minutes long. Additional handicap parking is available at this event.
FIND A VETERAN PROGRAM: The Veterans Advisory Committee requests that all town Veterans insure that all fellow Veterans are on the Town Supervisors Official Veterans Mailing List. This list is kept in strictest confidence, and is used solely for communicating information to Veterans. If you Find a Veteran not on the mailing list, please have them contact the Town Supervisor's Office at 914-993-1500.
